Sialoglyco 2018 Meeting Announced

Dear Glycoscientists,

On behalf of the members of the Scientific Advisory Board, I invite you to attend the next biennial conference on the Biology, Biochemistry and Chemistry of Sialic Acids, Sialoglyco2018. The meeting will be held May 10-14, 2018 in Banff, Alberta, which is located in the Canadian Rocky Mountains within Canada's oldest national park (Banff National Park, founded in 1885).

Registration for Sialoglyco2018 opens 2nd January 2018, at:  https://sialoglyco.com

An "Early Bird" rate is available to those who register for the meeting and book lodging with the conference hotel well in advance of the May meeting. Moreover, I am delighted to announce that Sialoglyco2018 is being held in concert with the Canadian Glycomics symposium (May 8–11); registration discounts are available for attendees wishing to participate in both meetings. The venue for both meetings is the Banff Park Lodge, which is located in downtown Banff. For information on booking the hotel, please see the link above.

Although the biennial meeting on the chemistry and biology of sialic acids dates back to 1985, this is the first time for the event to be held in Canada. We have assembled an outstanding group of internationally recognized scientists as plenary, keynote and invited speakers, and we will select additional speakers from submitted abstracts (see  https://sialoglyco.com/abstract-submission/  for details).

Sialoglyco2018 opens with an evening reception on Thursday 10th May. This mixer coincides with the poster session of the Glycomics symposium, and on the following day, our first scientific session is scheduled as a joint session with the Glycomics symposium. In total, Sialoglyco2018 offers three days of scientific sessions, one afternoon of which is free. The conference will finish on Sunday, May 13th with a dinner banquet. Breakfast will be provided prior to your departure on Monday, 14th May.

We look forward to welcoming you to Sialoglyco2018 in beautiful Banff!
