Promoting your Structured Research Student Programs

Promoting Structured Departmental Research Programs

This webpage outlines the process for the OSEE to promote structured research programs with set recruiting processes to academic institutions and program partners. The OSEE builds and maintains connections with program partners to help streamline research student recruitment and hiring operations across BIDMC.

  1. Research department/lab contact shares program with the OSEE via either direct email, or completing the OSEE Streamlined Research Partnerships Initiative Project Intake Form
    • If the project is shared via email, the OSEE will send the information and any supporting documentation provided directly to the appropriate partners connected with the office centrally, with instructions to email research department/lab directly.
    • If the project is submitted via the Intake Form, it will be added to the central OSEE application that is shared with academic institutions and program partners with application instructions included
  1. Research department/lab contact manages all recruitment processes for their program, and reaches out to the OSEE for assistance as necessary
  1. Once a student(s) is hired, OSEE can assist with onboarding operations if the department/lab contact chooses. The OSEE will follow the streamlined research student onboarding process
    • Departments/lab contacts can manage their own onboarding, however the OSEE requests updates on hires for record maintenance
