About the Linde Family Institute
The Linde Institute began thirteen years ago with a large gift from the Linde Family Foundation with a simple aim: to invest deeply in primary care leadership in order to create the most successful primary care network in the country. From that spark, the Linde Family Institute for Primary Care has grown into a nationally recognized hub for leadership development, innovation, and collaboration.
Our mission is to equip physician leaders with the skills, vision, and community needed to transform primary care. We do that by offering a variety of programs and grants, of which our flagship is the Linde Family Fellowship. Founded and led by Dr. Eileen Reynolds, MD, MACP who currently chairs the Institute and is the Chief of the Division of General Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and the Koplow-Tullis Professor in General Medicine and Primary Care at Harvard Medical School (HMS), the Institute has expanded over the years and includes innovations grants funding, a bi-annual Innovations Conference, with additional programs coming for new and senior physicians.

Linde Family Fellowship Program in Primary Care Leadership
The Linde Family Institute for Primary Care and Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) invite applications for the 2026–2027 Linde Fellowship Program in Primary Care Leadership. This one-year program supports early and mid-career primary care physician leaders from across the BILH network to develop advanced leadership, management, and innovation skills. Up to four fellows will be selected and will receive $30,000 in salary support. Click here for more information.
Linde Family Innovation Grants Program
BILH primary care physicians and staff can access funding through the Linde Family Foundation to help them develop solutions that will enhance the patient care experience, improve population health and support the delivery of high-value care. Click here to learn more about the application process.
Linde Foundations Program
A development program to prepare recommended early-career physicians and APPs to thrive at BILH by building organizational fluency, clinical effectiveness, and confident leadership. The program supports the transition from training to practice with real-world tools, relationships, and resources that improve patient and clinician outcomes. Click here for more information.
Leadership
The Fellowship is co-led by Dr. Ellen Kwan, our physician Faculty Director and Heidi Bellamente, an executive coach with leadership development expertise. Dan Dangler, Director, Leadership Development, Beth Israel Lahey Health, supports the Fellowship as an executive coach.
