Linde Family Institute for Primary Care
Primary Care Leadership Training
The Linde Fellowship Program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) was funded by a generous gift from the Linde Family Foundation. The one-year fellowships are designed to create a reliable pipeline of physicians with the skills needed to become influential leaders in the primary care practices.
Our Goals & Objectives
As the environment of primary care changes, so too must the ways in which physicians and residents are trained to lead and innovate.
The Linde Family Fellowship Program was established in 2013 to address this need. As part of the Linde Family Institute for Primary Care at BIDMC, the program seeks to develop the next generation of physicians and lead the evolution of primary care leadership and management skills.
The Linde Family Fellowship Program is open to physician leaders who practice primary care and have a leadership role at BIDMC or one of Beth Israel Lahey Health's (BILH) member organizations or affiliates. Fellowships are awarded to up to four selected applicants annually.
Curriculum
The program curriculum includes four main components: feedback from self-assessments and a 360-degree skill inventory, a designated “coach,” didactic workshops led by leadership and medical management experts, and a project that each fellow will carry out in their home practice site.
Fellows & Alumni
Many former program fellows have gone on to become impactful, innovative practice managers and leaders in primary care medicine.
