The BIDMC/Joslin Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism Fellowship Program offers three positions through the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) each year and accepts applications through the Electronic Residency Application (ERAS) Fellowships system. Application Process
The BIDMC/Joslin Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism Fellowship Program accepts applications through the Electronic Residency Application (ERAS) Fellowships system and offers three positions through the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) each year. Requirements To Apply
Completion of 3-year ACGME-accredited internal medicine training program
Passed USMLE Parts I, II, III
Expected to pass ABIM certification for internal medicine
Visa Requirements
Clinical Track (2-year): Open to candidates regardless of citizenship or residency status. Candidates on J-1 visas are welcome to apply. Candidates on H-1B visas will not be accepted.
Research Extension (3rd year): Available to U.S. citizens and permanent residents only, supported by the NIH T32 training grant.
Applications are Processed through ERAS and must Include:
ERAS Application;
Curriculum Vitae;
Personal Statement, which should include a description of your career goals and your interests in Endocrinology.
Three letters of recommendation
Fellows who develop a strong interest in research during their training may have the opportunity to extend to a third year, supported by our NIH T32 training grant. This is arranged after matching into the two-year program and is not a separate application pathway.
The BIDMC/Joslin Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism Fellowship Program will be conducting all fellowship interviews virtually in the 2026 fall interview season. There will be no in-person visits hosted by the department.
