Training the Next Generation of Gerontologists
The Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) Division of Gerontology sponsors the ACGME-accredited Harvard Medical School Multicampus Geriatric Medicine Fellowship for physicians interested in academic career paths in geriatric medicine. This fellowship is one of the oldest in the country, established in 1978.
The Geriatric Medicine Fellowship prepares graduates for distinguished careers as health care leaders in the field of aging, preparing the next generation of clinicians in the art and science of geriatric medicine.
Program Overview
The Geriatric Medicine Fellowship offers advanced training in Research, Education, and Health Care Policy, with mentorship and tailored training plans for academic careers. Fellows gain experience across multiple Harvard-affiliated institutions, providing a comprehensive clinical education.
